This article is for all the CleanTechnica readers that are sick of news about Tesla’s stock price. It is a followup to the article “Musk Didn’t Inhale, and He is a Stable Genius,” which briefly summarized Elon Musk’s appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast. In the previous article, I stated the long interview would be edited into shorter videos which would echo through the internet and social media for years to come.

Well, I have not been disappointed. This video containing edited excerpts is beyond exceptional.

Tesla is not a company; Tesla is a movement. Yes, Musk is its leader and he is not infallible, but maybe the overall vision he perpetuates is infallible. Certainly, Musk did not come up with this vision on his own. It is an extension of the thousands of conversations Musk has had with great innovators of history. It was Rene Descartes who said, “The reading of all good books is like a conversation with the finest minds of past centuries.”

The movement that is Tesla is not just about climate change, sustainability, or being sexy. The movement is funded and supported by millions of people, whether they buy Tesla products or spend most of their free time on Reddit promoting and defending Tesla. The movement is about the survival, wellbeing, and evolution of humanity. To achieve this goal, we have numerous short-term goals to fulfill, but here are the most important three:

1. We have to make the earth sustainable.

2. We have to become multi-planetary.

3. We have to find a way to create a symbiotic relationship with AI, and in that process, we have to dramatically improve the human condition to prevent our own self-demise.

If you are a bit confused how all of this pertains to Tesla, allow me to explain. These goals will not be directly met through Tesla. Musk has created SpaceX, The Boring Company, OpenAI, and other endeavors to achieve these goals. All these efforts indirectly rely on the success of Tesla. Musk has agreed to use all of his proceeds from Tesla to continue to fund these goals. And, of course, to meet these goals, help from numerous other entities will be required.

So, the scared Tesla shareholders can moan about Musk’s leadership, but expect a massive fight from the stakeholders who see the whole picture in regards to Tesla.
