The head of the high-profile Local Health and Care Records Exemplar (LHCRE) programme is to leave NHSX to join a large consultancy firm.
Inderjit Singh, national lead on the LHCRE programme and head of architecture and cyber security at NHSX is joining PA Consulting.
His departure was confirmed at an NHSX-organised conference for LHCRE programmes held in Headingley, Leeds on 12 June.
The LHCRE programme involved awarding national money to accelerate shared records development and adoption of tools like population health management. The winning bidders are also expected to have their national funding locally matched.
Singh reported on the LHCRE programme to Will Smart, CIO of health and care in England, who also has lead responsibility for the linked Global Digital Exemplar (GDE) programme.
In various roles at NHS Digital and NHS England, Singh been the lead national figure on interoperability since 2013, and was previously responsible for the Interoperability Toolkit (ITK), the post-National Programme for IT initiative to promote interoperability through standards such as use of an NHS Number.
His departure marks the latest departure from the former NHS England digital leadership team; following the high profile move of Matthew Swindells to Accenture and Juliet Bauer to Livi.
