Servelec and Totalmobile to roll out new social care app in Cambridgeshire

Servelec and strategic partner Totalmobile are preparing to roll out a set of mobile workforce management and scheduling services for social care teams at Cambridgeshire County Council.

The council is set to become the first UK local authority to implement Servelec and Totalmobile’s Reablement App, which integrates with the Servelec’s social care case management software, Mosaic.

The app, due to go live towards the end of the year, aims to support 250 staff by helping them create reablement care plans for people with disabilities and those who are frail or recovering from illness.

The new platform will help reablement teams focus their efforts on the needs of the people they support, enabling the recording of user information at the point of care with real-time monitoring and planning capabilities.

Other benefits of the platform include real-time schedule updates, a reduction in paper-based processes and the ability to allocate the appropriate staff worker to each visit.

Through the adoption of the app, the council is aiming to increase productivity and generate cost efficiencies – ultimately leading to better outcomes for vulnerable people in its care.

Totalmobile’s CEO, Jim Darragh, said: “The implementation of our combined technology will ensure that Cambridgeshire’s reablement teams can react responsively, enabling person centred care while delivering better services.

“The solution will allow reablement teams to easily organise visits and update case management notes whilst on the move.”

Servelec and Totalmobile announced last year that they were developing a line-up of digital solutions aimed at the social care sector.

The pair have also developed a joint system that enables clinical staff to access Servelec’s RiO electronic patient record system through Totalmobile’s mobile device software.

James Bouch, sales director at Servelec, added: “We are delighted to work alongside our partners at Totalmobile to deliver this innovative mobile solution for Cambridgeshire County Council.

“This project will harness our combined expertise and ensure that the council has the tools it needs to support its workforce and the vulnerable people they work with.”
