Two NHS trusts have partnered up with Hyland Healthcare to deliver a comprehensive imaging solution.
The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust have developed their own solution to ensure all clinicians can access a full view of patient’s health data.
The solution is also integrated with both trusts’ EPR system.
Each solution has been developed by using a number of Hyland’s products.
- OnBase– helps digitise and manage clinical and back office data to optimise workflows and performance, delivering information within platforms clinicians and staff prefer
- NilRead – provides universal viewing for medical images and clinical content via a fully-interactive, zero-footprint referential and diagnostic viewing experience
- OnBase Patient Window – unifies all clinical content for easy access and viewing within the electronic medical record.
Darren Ferguson, a customer solution consultant with Hyland’s global healthcare services group, who managed the Royal Marsden project, explained: ”The Royal Marsden is a unique customer in the UK as it is the only NHS Trust dedicated to cancer care and has a close relationship with the Institute for Cancer Research.
“This makes interoperability and distribution of imaging all the more important, as the hospital is engaging with outside organisations in this important work.”
In a separate story, in September 2018, Digital Health News reported on how Hyland had signed an agreement to acquire the OneContent business from healthcare IT solutions provider Allscripts.
OneContent provides healthcare content management solutions that allow clinicians and healthcare staff access and work on documents in the electronic patient record.
